Thinkery CEO Patricia “Trish” Young Brown, Forefront Networks, Austin Ice Cream Festival producer Veronica Castelo and Steel City Pops event manager Oliver Thomas are scheduled to join Grossmann in the dedication ceremony. Corey Richards, Austin Postmaster General, will serve as master of ceremonies.
"The Thinkery Children's Museum is a must-see in Austin this summer, and on June 20th we're excited to share some fun STEAM-based (science, technology, engineering, art, math)-based activities with visitors, including designing your own stamps and popsicles Stick with the challenge in honor of the Frozen Treats stamp and Thinkery's play-based learning," said Young Brown.
The illustration on the stamp shows a colorful popsicle soda on a stick. Delicious, sweet desserts come in all shapes and flavors.
Popsicles are made by large manufacturers, home cooks, and artisanal shops. Frozen meals containing fresh fruit such as kiwi, watermelon, blueberries, oranges and strawberries have become more common in recent years. In addition, flavors such as chocolate, root root and cola are also popular. Some frozen treats even come in two sticks, perfect for sharing.
This 20-stamp booklet features the work of Margaret Berg of Santa Monica, California, depicting whimsical watercolor illustrations of frozen treats. Each of the 10 stamp designs includes two different treats. Each stamp has the words "FOREVER" and "USA" at the bottom.
